What exactly is vintage?

Here's the 411 on vintage. For any item to qualify as vintage, it has to be at least 20 years old. Most of the items we carry are decades old. While we do carry a range of years, we mostly hold gems from the 60s to 70s. We do not sell pieces from the 2000s or also known as Y2K.

Natural signs of wear and age are normal as these gems have been passed down for years. Hell, most are older than us.

Believe it or not, we do a ton of repairs to take care of and give gems a little TLC so they can live a new life. While they can be a bit complex and oftentimes requires a professional seamstress, but we welcome the challenge!

How does sizing work?

All measurements are taken flat and in regards to circumferences such as bust, waist, hips, etc. we double them.

Please note vintage sizing standards are totally different from today's standard sizes, so please be sure to check out the measurements for a more accurate representation of the size! We highly recommend comparing measurements against garments you currently own.

Some of the pieces we discover are handmade to tailor to a person's specific body so while a bust may be narrow, the hips may vary much different than a tier that falls into a specific size.

Due to the human nature of the body, we remeasure our model for every collection launch to ensure we have a closer representation of how the garment will compare!

When can I expect my order to ship or arrive?

Accepted Answer

We offer shipping for domestic and international via UPS or USPS (United States Postal Service). Orders are prepped and ready to ship out within 3-5 business days. This does not include weekends or holidays.

Prices are based on the weight of your good(s) and your shipping location. 👢

Domestic orders with a minimum $100 ship free. 📦💥

DELIVERY TIME FRAMES 🚚

First Class Mail:  2-3 business days. Items must weigh under 1lb.

Ground Mail:

2-9 business days. Items will be a minimum of 4lb. This baby here is the default for our shipped goods
that are a bit on the heavier side!

Priority Mail:

1-3 business days. Items will be a minimum of 1lb. This baby here is the default for our shipped goods!

First Class Mail:

Typically 7-10 business days, but given your country it may take up to 30 days or more. Items must weigh under 4 pounds.

Priority Mail:

6-10 business days. Items will be a minimum of 4 pounds.

Mofomelon Vintage is not responsible for custom fees, taxes, or any other shenanigans your country may have in place for packages. For the love of avocados, do not email us to lower the value of your package. This is illegal and would get us in a lot of trouble. We are not responsible for any lost packages in the mail. Of course, if your baby gets lost we will do our best to try to find it. Please be sure to double, and triple check your address just in case before checkout.

Are returns accepted?

We do our best to provide accurate descriptions and would be more than happy to send any additional photos / measurements if needed. Please be sure to read each product description, measurements, etc. before purchasing.

In regards to color, in a lot of cases, unique colors don't translate well when photographed so we do our best to provide our customers with the closest accuracy we can.

So ultimately, colors may vary depending on your monitor settings so in a lot of ways, what you are seeing may look different.

I've bought vintage online before that had flaws that weren't mentioned. How can I trust you guys?

Here at Mofomelon Vintage, we keep it 100 as the kids say these days. Yes, we've bought vintage online from other shops, and upon receiving and looking at our purchase, we can easily spot major imperfections that were not noted in the original product description.

We personally have purchased vintage finds with plenty of imperfections and some a lil more flawed than one may like, but as long as we are well aware of what we are investing in, it's OK with us.

Why that is? Because we are investing in something that most likely has lived many lives and we'd love to be a part of it's history and normal wear is what's expected.

What does that mean for you?

We do our best to notate the slightest detail that is a flaw, minor or somewhat noticeable. Most of the flaws we find do not take away from the overall item.  However, it's important for us to be transparent and honest with what we find. Your trust is important and we want to keep it that way.

I'm eco-conscious about packaging. What kind of packaging does MMV Use?

All of our packaging is sustainably shipped in compostable paper boxes of envelopes.

We use tissue paper to wrap goods.

We try to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum over here!
